The First Disciples
In Mark 1:16-20, we read about Jesus calling the first disciples. As he passed by the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting their nets into the sea; they were fisherman. Jesus said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." Then they left their nets and followed him. He walked along a little farther and saw James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They too were in a boat mending their nets. Then he called them. So they left their father Zebedee in the boat along with the hired men and followed him. Stained glass window photographed inside Saint Peter the Apostle Church, Parsippany, NJ, USA. Ash Wednesday and Lent

Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent which prepares us for Holy Week and the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday. Lent is a time of fasting and prayer that leads to a spiritual renewal of our soul.

Miraculous Signs of Archangel Michael

"Please join in prayer for God's divine intervention to mitigate (end) violence throughout the world. It’s important now more than ever to pray for our nation and families, especially for people who are subjected to adversity and disrespectful behavior on a daily bases. Our world is in dire need of healing and peace - with prayer everything is possible." -Loci B. Lenar
